Nearly every football team around the state gets together in the summer for summer workouts. A few other sports might fall in line, too. But at Brookfield Central, nearly a fourth of the school is in the gym every morning, helping the Lancers athletic program improve.

Freshman Nathan Balthazor and sophomore Benny Glezer are two big reasons why the De Pere tennis team qualified for the state tournament in Madison this weekend. The two combined for 65 wins and only four losses, helping the Redbirds clinch a state tournament berth for the first time since 2009 and second time ever in school history.

After a year away, Steve Showalter returns to his home state to coach high school hoops once again. After leaving Germantown for Lindenwood University in Missouri, Showalter is back in the area with a new gig at Catholic Memorial. JP Cadorin caught up with the new coach to see what new challenges await him.
After a high school injury changed his college plans, Luke Meeteer has done nothing but thrived in black and gold. The Panthers outfielder will likely leave campus as the all-time leader in nearly every offensive category. JP Cadorin talked with the Wisconsin native ahead of his final games in Milwaukee.
5/3/16 - In this high school girl's soccer game, the Catholic Memorial Crusaders battle the Muskego Warriors. The Crusaders have yet to lose a game this season, but have tied twice while winning five games. The Warriors have only lost one game, while also tying two.
5/3/16 - In this high school softball game, the Homestead Highlanders take on the Germantown Warhawks. The Highlanders enter the game with a 7-2 overall record, going 6-2 in the conference while also winning an out of conference game. The Warhawks are 6-5 overall, losing four out of conference games.
